Roses & Violets

When such terrible things happen in the world, how do we go back to our everyday lives? The central idea of starting this blog was to counteract gloom and offer a sunny, inspiring place to visit.   To not forget what has happened but to remember there is also beauty and love and goodness surrounding us every day, and to try to live a life that celebrate these things.  To not let darkness win.

Here are some little things that helped remind me:

Sunday dinner with my husband. (Thank you, Kevin)

A vivid wall of bright flowers. (Thank you,

A young woman who exudes grace, joy and kindness; a choreographer at the top of his game and the hauntingly beautiful song that swept us all off our feet. (Thank you Bindi Irwin, Derek Hough, Dancing With The Stars and Alexander Jean.)

"Use the good china for breakfast."
