Six years after she won X Factor it still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video of Alexandra Burke singing Leonard Cohen's sensual, spirtual Hallelujah.  It's my favorite version of a song that has been recorded by hundreds of artists, inspired a book, a documentary and continual debate over the meaning of its often altered lyrics.

Not exactly a Christmas tune, but oh how it speaks of love and desire and hope and loss and legend and ... life in the most moving, beautiful way. Or at least that's my interpretation.  What's yours?

"Use the good china for breakfast."
