Candy Carts & Candy Bars

For an upcoming event (which you are all invited to) I've promised sweet treats, bubbly and fresh spring fashion.

Problem is I don't have a sweet tooth (I'm more of a french fry girl).  So I asked friends on Facebook and received a dozen delicious suggestions (chocolate fig brownies, strawberry shortcake, cake pops, cookies, peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate, cheesecake, Talenti gelato, grasshopper squares, chocolate covered strawberries, grilled chocolate sandwiches, meyer lemon macarons, salted pumpkin caramels).

A quick search on Pinterest unveiled a delicious array of display ideas.  Such as:

Candy Buffet ... Candy Bar ... Candy Cart ... Candy Breakfront with cookies in the drawer.

All of which brought to mind the Chanel 2011/12 Paris/Bombay fashion show, which has to be the most decadent dessert buffet ever assembled, complete with toy train serving cocktails and mountains of macarons beneath glittering chandeliers:

My own display will be far simpler, but still chic and sweet.

How about you, dear readers? What's your favorite dessert selection and presentation for a party? Please share your scrumptious suggestions here.  Merci!

Thank you for the yummy ideas Cassidy, Barbara, Martine, Mackenzie, Anne G and Anne J, Susie, Stacey, Jackie and Lee.  Chanel video first spied on NINObrand / Facebook.
