Look at the layered, lush textures in the image above. It may seem like a touch would bring your hand away dripping with purple paint. But this image is actually a painting turned into fabric.
It's the latest evolution of Liza Hathaway Matthews' artistic exploration of color and form. When we first met Liza back in 2012, she captivated us with her dreamy abstract paintings. Since then we've followed along as she shared her prolific body of work on her online sites. Blooming there: soft blown-up florals, intricate patterns, pretty chinoiseries and more of those evocative abstracts.
Now, through a collaboration with Cotton & Quill, select designs of Liza's can be purchased in linen, linen cotton and chintz fabrics; and as wallpaper. Especially striking are the marbelized "Coral Crush" and "Purple Orchid" patterns, which would add a dramatic pop of color to a sofa, or a serious dose of glamour covering the walls of an intimate alcove or dressing area.
