Spring Into Joy
"Dare to Dream" is my title for this uncredited photo on the edge of a Yosemite cliff.  From the R. P. Kingston Collection. (Yellow tint by me.)  Thank you to my friends Rudy & Rosey for sending this to me. -- it inspired our Spring theme.

Spring is traditionally about refreshing and renewing, clearing out and cleaning up.  It's our chance to reboot and restart the year anew.  What I've learned lately (thank you Marie Kondo, thank you Danielle LaPorte, thank you Gretchen Rubin, thank you superstar Best Friends Board of Directors) is that before getting into all that busywork, it pays to take a deep breath and figure out why you're doing it and what you want out of it all in the first place.

Surprisingly, it turns out we all pretty much want the same thing.  Not surprisingly, realizing what that is changes everything.

It can be a scary path to go down.  Like this woman perched on a cliff there's risk and danger.  There's also touch choices and maybe not so great tasks.

Ah, but what it leads to: exuberance, beauty, vitality.  Happiness.

Joy.
