On summer evenings we've been serving Lillet to friends who stop by our outdoor living room and "stoop it" -- South Philly jargon for hanging out on the stoop, sharing a drink and some laughs. So simple, so elegant, with notes of honey and candied oranges balanced by a bit of dryness and a long luscious after taste. Best served chilled, on the rocks as the sun sets and the cares of the day slip away on a soft breeze.
What's your favorite summer aperitif?
