Let's Hear It For The Girls

Artist. Entrepreneur. Designer. Writer. Lover. Mother. Wife. Friend. Cheerleader. Rebel.  From Cleopatra to Lilly Pulitzer, Dorothy Parker to Tina Turner.  For all the things we are, and all the things we can be.  This month, Let's Hear It For The Girls.

G is for GIRLFRIEND ... and GRANDMOTHER ... and in this case, both.  That's my Grandma Jean, second from left, with her girlfriends.  If you've been reading this blog for awhile you'll know she was also mine, and a style icon as well.  I look at this photo of all the young girls, on the cusp of their lives and wonder what happened next.  Who were they? What would they become?  Along these lines, we'll be playing a bit of an alphabet game this month, sharing with each other what it means to be a woman from A to Z.

What -- or who -- does 'G' represent to you?
